Dave Vance and William (Skip) Taylor
The 26th Texas was founded by Captain William (Skip) Taylor and Lieutenant David (Rebel) Vance. Both share a life long interest in the history of the War between the States.
Having formed this unit, they set about recruiting their troops. The 26th Texas is comprised of mostly family units. This means we welcome the whole family: wives, sons, daughters, even girlfriends.
